Coaching & software
The Pitch
Our own soccer coaching business, and the site we use as a workshop. Every technique that ends up in a client build gets tried here first — and behind the marketing pages there’s a real application people log into.

On a phone first
Most of the people who find this site are standing outside holding a phone. Every build gets designed at 390 pixels wide before it gets designed at 1440, and the phone layout is never the desktop one squeezed down.
What it had to do
Two jobs at once. It has to sell coaching to parents and players, and it has to be the place we find out what actually works — whether a piece of motion earns its weight, whether a long page holds someone to the bottom, whether a walkthrough teaches better than a paragraph. Client sites get the techniques that survive this one.
What we built
- A long single-column scroll where the motion is tied to reading position rather than to a timer, so the page moves at the pace you move.
- A recruiting walkthrough that plays out as you read it — the part of the pitch that’s hardest to explain in a paragraph.
- A full-width photo band that does the work an explanatory sentence otherwise would.
- A workout tracking application on its own subdomain, with real accounts and real data, that the marketing site feeds into.
Why it’s in the library
Because it’s the longest and most animated thing we’ve built, and because it’s honest about where the experiments happen. When we tell you the scroll-driven work on your build is going to behave, this is the site we’re basing that on.
Full disclosure: The Pitch is our own business, not a client. It earns its place here because it’s the most technically involved build in the library and you can stress-test every bit of it yourself.
